01/22/2016Welcome 2016
If you are like me you feel hopeful and excited for this New Year.
What doesn’t excite me? Seeing so many blogs and articles indicating people abandon their “resolutions” and “new intentions” by mid-February, at the latest.
Sad, isn’t it? So many disappointments and subsequent feelings of inadequacy. Just reading that stuff creates a big energy drain in me….
Let’s look at a FACT that quickly allows fun energy to flow again…
The “chance to start over” thoughts and feelings that are so common to the New Year don’t have to be relinquished any month during the year.
Why?
Because every single day we wake is our chance to start over.
Let that sink in….Every day can be your New Year’s Day.
Have you thought about that before? I encourage you – over the next week – to spend some time alone, still and quiet, and think about…
• What would it take for you to hold onto those excited, hopeful feelings all year?
• What would have to happen?
• Who would you have to become to keep that anticipating energy alive?
• What would then be possible?
I’d love to know your thoughts below.
As I was wrapping up 2015, I reviewed some of my previous blogs and social media posts and noticed one in particular that received more shares and comments than others. It obviously struck a chord and is a most timely revisit as we wrap up 2015. See below to see the FB post everyone loved…
I’m excited to begin 2016 with you. Let’s discover the magic of keeping the New Year’s energy all year long…and in the process help you make decisions and move forward with grace, agility and confidence.

Each day is a choice. Will it be good? Will it be blah? Will it be up and down? OR will it be TEERRIfic? It sounds so so so corny but it is a choice. Some days don’t always end up teeeerrrrrific. but I love the mornings because it is the calm before the “everything”. It is my time to decide…what will I make of this day? It is all up to me. I can go into with a big smile and make it what I want. No need for a once a year “new year resolution”. Every single day is a new beginning to a new day.
Stephanie, couldn’t agree more – LOVE the way you say it, especially the calm before your “everything.” That says so much about how you approach life…you (& your girls) are an inspiration to me! And how fun was it to run into you at IAH!
Hey Gigi! I also love new starts. I’m excited about 2016. One of my life changes is to add 1 hour of silence to my day. For me that is in the morning and it is freedom from tv, radio, or any other outside source of interruption. It has been such a great add to have quiet. I look forward to it….
Susan, so glad you’ve added this restorative time to your routine. Very few of us today have enough quietness & stillness in our lives…
