Boring Time and Long Thoughts
06/12/2015Time to Make Something Happen?
07/02/2015Two weeks ago we “talked” about Making Time Count. I heard from several people that my note was timely (pardon the pun) and that the subject had been on their minds also.
Last week I heard a speaker say, “As you spend your time, so goes your life.” So matter of fact, and completely true. How many times a day do you hear someone say “I would do this or that, but I don’t have time.” We say this matter of fact, but guess what? It is most often not true.
Have you ever really looked at how you spend your time? I mean really taken a look? As in keep a record for a week, or two?
Ready for some big revelations?
Download and print this simple tool that will allow you to log how you spend your time for a week. Break activities down and note everything, i.e., food shopping, food prep, eating a meal, travel to the gym vs. exercising, grooming, etc., and commuting time is just that, not “work.” Get the idea? I guarantee you will have some surprises.
It is not a cliché’ – time really IS precious. And knowing exactly how you are currently spending it, is key to Making Time Count. I look forward to hearing your thoughts and what you learn from this simple yet revealing exercise.
