Tips for Proper Business Etiquette (and Personal Etiquette, too!)
02/19/2016It was 19 degrees this morning. Highs for the long weekend ahead will be in the low-20’s. Yes it is cold, but it is February and February is supposed to be cold. Somehow there is comfort in that, that things are the way they are supposed to be. Something else I find comfort in during February is knowing that spring is coming. And you know what spring brings…. spring brings colors.Take a look at these beautiful colors ~ from the bounty and beauty of the earth ~ that are forecast to trend strong in Spring 2016. I think it is going to be a beautiful season. What do you think?
Spruce: a blue green that is deeper than emerald, lighter than olive, and enhancing many eye colors.
Petal: a sophisticated neutral, like rose-quartz, soft and pretty against the other neutrals in your closet.
Tangerine: vitamin C is good for all bodies and the color is the orange hue that works on most skin tones.
Marigold: the most wearable shade of yellow, siting on the spectrum between canary and mustard. For spring 16,expect to see marigold used in unexpected textures and modern shapes.
Sienna: a shade of brown that is both saturated and bright and in textiles is commonly used for suede. This spring we will see it in lighter fabrications, such as silks.
Speaking of colors – I just read that that “counting colors” is a favorite way for Sheryl Crow to relax and de-stress. “I look around the room and take note of the colors of various objects – yellow pillow, red hat. Concentrating on the things around you stops the stuff that’s spinning around in your head.”
I love this idea, am definitely going to try it and encourage you to also. Who couldn’t use a little less spinning today?! What do you think? Does it help? Let me know your thoughts below.
